Hoorah for Miss Marsh!

Popular teacher celebrates 30 years teaching in the Alice Ottley building

RS teacher and general all-round legend, Jo Marsh, celebrated 30 years teaching in September 2019.  Jo started teaching at the Alice Ottley School in 1989 and quickly became a firm favourite with her pupils, leading trekking trips in Bolivia, teaching hockey and being a friend and mentor to many hundreds of girls.  Jo stayed at the school during the merger with RGS Worcester and now many hundreds of boys have benefited from her wisdom, good humour and warmth.

After posting this news on the AOS alumnae Facebook page, there were hundreds of likes and scores of comments, praising this truly exceptional teacher.

Jess Parker commented, 'Congratulations! My first AO teacher and so many memories of lessons, advice, guidance and kindness!'

And Kate Kiernan was full of praise, 'Congrats Jo! It was a great pleasure to work alongside you for a couple of those years. You definitely are a legend and they are lucky to have had you all these years!'

Well done Miss Marsh!
