RGS boys triumph for the North Midlands

RGS alumnus Gareth Llewellyn (1982-89) has been in touch with an update on his son, Benn (2008-19):

'Thought you would like to know that Benn and fellow RGSW alumnus Joe Thomson (2011-18) played for the North Midlands U20 Rugby team at the weekend in their championship opening fixture v Warwickshire. Joe played fly half and Benn played full back.

North Midlands won 15-14 - Benn scored 10 points: a try, set up by a great cross field kick by Joe, along with a conversion and penalty.
As you can see from the photo, it wasn’t the best conditions for free flowing rugby!'
